Why Polytechnic Breaks Never Match Your Sibling’s School Holidays

MOE schools run four ten-week terms inside one academic year, with fixed breaks in March, June, September and at the year end. Polytechnics run two semesters of roughly fifteen to eighteen weeks each, and their breaks are whatever falls between the end of one semester’s examinations and the start of the next.
